Narayan Finds Passion In Car Racing

Car racing has been a platform Shonil Narayan use to express his passion for car racing.
Growing up, he built himself a small budget car with the help of his friends and family to try car racing in 2019.
Now at 22 years old, he has joined Pro Tuners Fiji car club in pursuit to participating in more car racing.
“I learned to drive a manual car on a tractor my grandfather had way back in 2007 when I was seven years old.
“He let me sit on his lap and drive the tractor and change gears,” he said.
“Also, from my uncles and cousins in New Zealand who inspired me into car racing.”
Mr Narayan got his first car at age 18 which was an old school Toyota Corolla KE70 (carbi).
It was an 18th birthday gift from his parents.
He now owns two cars which is a Toyota Starlet EP82 1990 model with a 4E-FTE 1.3L (turbo) and a Toyota Caldina GT4 2007 model
“I love my car when it hits up to 4000rpm then there is a crazy pull with 14psi of boost.
He hopes to participate in more car racing to utilize his cars full potential.
He said the joined Pro Tuners Fiji car club has been his source of inspiration in car racing.
Mr Narayan has been a member of the car club for the past three years.
