Proper Hygiene Is Solution To Communicable Diseases, Says Dr Waqainabete

Minister for Health and Medical Services, Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete says the best solution to cure communicable diseases is a proper hygienic environment.
Dr Waqainabete made this comment while speaking to villagers of Saru in Lautoka on Thursday.
“Wash our hands regularly, put on a mask and maintain cleanliness with our surroundings likewise for typhoid,” Dr Waqainabete said.
“Keep clean at all times the places where we put all our rubbish, especially the toilets.”
He highlighted to villagers that for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) it required people to put away all ingredients that could cause poison to the blood.
“We all know ourselves individually, like heavy smoking or alcohol consumption like grog and other alcohol beverages,” he said.
Saru villager, Samu Leweni, said he was content that Dr Waqainabete was present to encourage people to get their third and fourth booster shots.
“COVID-19 is worrying in that it is now affecting little children,” he said.
Dr Waqainabete was on a tour visiting communities in the Western Division.
He was also present to witness community members receiving their COVID-19 vaccination doses.
