Queen Victoria School Principal Ratu Jo Gavidi has been relieved of his duties pending investigation.

In a note to parents obtained by the Fiji Sun, the Parents and Teachers Association president Filimoni Vosarogo advised that the school Vice Principal Jone Cama has assumed the management leadership role.

Mr Vosarogo said he would be in the position until further notice. There was no further information of the reason why Mr Gavidi was relieved.

“Please liaise with your house president for parents issues to be raised with the Parents, Guardians and Friends Association Exco and the school management,” Mr Vosarogo said.

The message was sent out to parents on Saturday. Yesterday parents flocked to Matavatucou as part of visitation Sunday.

Permanent Secretary for Education Anjeela Jokhan did not wish to comment on the issue.
