Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has urged stakeholders of the Tertiary Scholarships and Loan Service to share data among their different universities and ministries that would enable them to provide better and quality services.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum made the statement while opening the Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Service stakeholder awareness workshop in Suva on Tuesday.

He said though they represented different organisations and different sectors, it was critically important to share data.

“Obviously there is some data that we need to protect but this regards in terms of data regarding analysis of how to better provide services, what syllabus should be rolled out, what to do to better service delivery and skills gaps.”

He added young people were passionate about many things.

“What environment can we create to help them realise their passion and bring it into fruition,” he said.
