Fiji Gas, the country’s largest and most trusted LPG brand, and Fiji Rugby have sealed a three-year sponsorship that will support the Fijiana Drua and ulti­mately the development of women’s rugby in Fiji.

The three-year deal will see the Fiji Gas logo on the Fijiana Drua playing shorts next season until 2025.

Fiji Rugby chief executive John O’Connor thanked and acknowl­edged Fiji Gas for coming on board to sponsor the Champions of Super W competition.

“We at Rugby House are extreme­ly grateful to the team at Fiji Gas for their belief in women’s rugby and trusting Fiji Rugby through their sponsorship,” O’Connor said.

“As an organisation, we are work­ing hard to raise the standard of professionalism across all areas of the business. Our on-field offering aims to be first class and with the help of Fiji Gas we will surely raise to another level.”

Fiji Gas chief executive officer Hans Reiher said: “We are happy to be able to support the Fijiana Druas, which ultimately supports the development and pathway of women’s rugby in Fiji.

“This sponsorship is in line with Fiji Gas internal compass in ac­tively participating and promoting health through sport with a key focus on women and children”
