Intermediate boys 800m champion Vishant Reddy took off his vest as a  sign of respect to his old boys.

The Nadi football player clocked a time of 2min. 03 to win Korovuto College’s second gold medal at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, this morning.
Reddy said he had planned it from the first day of competition. On Thursday, he won the 1500m gold medal

“After winning the heats on Thursday, I punched the air so I thought of doing something different today,” he said.

“After winning the final I celebrated shirtless because I wanted to show the world that Korovuto can compete in a big competition like the Coke Games.

“One of the old boys reminded me that if I win to take off my vest and show the world that Korovuto College is here to compete and win.”

“I didn’t do that to entertain the crowd I did that for my old boys who were watching from Nadi. I didn’t really care much about the crowd or the girls because my celebrations was for the people of Nadi
