Two Gold Medals for Tagivetaua of QVS

Queen Victoria School’s Waisale Tagivetaua won two gold for the junior boys division.
He won gold in the 1500 metres on Day One and the 800m this morning. From Nawaikama, Gau in Lomaiviti he shares maternal links to Naloto, Verata in Tailevu.
“I’m happy for winning this for my school,” he said.
“I was challenged from the other schools but I thank God for this win.”
“I dedicate this to my parents Ilisoni and Joana Tagivetaua who are here to watch me.”
“Preparations for my first Games was tough and wanted to give up at times.
“I also thank the QVSOB and the parents for always looking out for us athletes and sponsoring us for what we needed for the Cokes.”
