Warriors Claim First Clash With Big Win

The Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors thrashed Manuma Samoa, 60-10, in the first of the two-game series clash at the HFC Bank Stadium, this afternoon.
The Samoans took an early 5-0 lead in the 14th minute, through a try to burly No.8 Ailepata Lemalu Jnr.
Eight minutes later Warriors No.8 Ilikimi Torosi touched down for their first try to level the scores 5-5.
Warriors extended their lead to 8-5 from a Simione Kuruvoli penalty.
In the 30th minute, openside flanker Joji Kunavula scored Warriors second try.
He picked the ball from a ruck and dived over for a crucial five pointer. The conversion by Kuruvoli extended Warriors lead to 15-5.
A classic set-up by centre Apisalome Vota saw winger Paul Dolokoto scored the Warriors third try.

The Warriors continue its dominance in the second half scoring six tries with Kunavula and captain Tevita Ikanivere scoring two tries each.
Samoa managed to score a try to Paul Faalago.
Other Warriors try scorers were Jack Volavola, Peni Kadralevu, Tevita Mociu and Michael Naitokani. Volavola landed two conversions as well as Mociu.
