The post-mortem examination result of the 18-year-old male, who was found dead outside a home in Maro, Sigatoka in June, was received last Friday.

This was highlighted by State lawyer, Taitusi Tuenuku to High Court Judge, Justice Riyaz Hamza at the High Court in Lautoka yesterday.

The remanded couple, Mohammed Naushad and Nazreen Nisha Khan were charged in relation to the man’s death.

They are each charged with one count of murder while Naushad faces an additional charge of one count of criminal intimidation. Naushad and Khan are both represented by defence lawyer, Iqbal Khan.

Mr Tuenuku has filed and served the disclosures and sought further time to file and serve the information.

In the couple’s bail matter, Mr Tuenuku also sought further time to file and serve the State’s submissions. Mr Khan also requested time to respond to submissions.

The matter has been adjourned to September 5 for the State to file and serve the information and September 8 to be mentioned for plea.
