Duo Involved in Foster Street Robbery Charged

The allegation is that Talemainaivalu and Tubuna on August 27 along Foster St in Suva, robbed and stole one Redmi mobile phone valued at $450 and $900 cash, the property of Lu Hong Kai, and during the such robbery, used violence on Mr Kai.

Two men who allegedly robbed a man along Foster St. last week appeared in the Magistrates Court in Suva on Wednesday. The two men are Mosese Talemainaivalu, 29, and Mikea Tubuna, 36.

They appeared before Magistrate Lakshitha Jayawardhana, jointly charged with one count of aggravated robbery.

 

Allegation

The allegation is that Talemainaivalu and Tubuna on August 27 along Foster St in Suva, robbed and stole one Redmi mobile phone valued at $450 and $900 cash, the property of Lu Hong Kai, and during the such robbery, used violence on Mr Kai.

Talemainaivalu and Tubuna were told that the charge was an indictable offence.

The matter has been transferred to the High Court in Suva and will be called for the first call on September 14.

Talemainaivalu and Tubuna remain in Police custody.
