North Raluve Competition Rounds Up

Macuata sub zone Under 18 schoolgirls champion Shiri Guru Nanak Khal­sa College is confident of beating Bua Central College in the North one zone secondary school rugby final tomorrow at the All Saint Secondary School ground in La­basa.

In another match Taveuni sub zone U18 winners, Bucalevu Sec­ondary School face Savusavu sub zone winner Saint Bedes College at the Holy Cross College ground in Taveuni.

The winners from the two match­es will meet to determine what school that will qualify for the Raluve (schoolgirls’ competition) playoffs at Ratu Cakobau Park in two weeks.

 

Shiri Guru Nanak Khalsa Col­lege principal Dhirendra Lal is grateful to the teachers’ commit­ment in conducting training ses­sions and taking them to their respective matches.

“The schoolgirls’ participation in the new Raluve competition is part of their holistic develop­ment, and we are grateful for the dedication and commitment of teachers,” Lal said.

“We wish the players all the best.”

 

Meanwhile, Bucalevu Secondary School principal Vikash Karan is confident that his students would win the zone two final and make it to Viti Levu for the pinnacle of the competition.

“Saint Bedes College team is a very hardworking team and we are not underestimating them,” Karan said.

“However, I have faith in my team and teachers to deliver best results. Nothing is impossible.”
