Tebara Carnival Set For October

Vodafone Fiji in partnership with Nausori Town Council has announced the return of Fiji’s first official municipal carnival after a two-year hiatus.

Council Special Administrator Chair, Uma Kant Patel, said the council is expecting a lot of people.

“The carnival will be held from October 8 to October 15 at Syria Park. We are having the Tebara Carnival after a lapse of two years and everyone is looking forward to it,” Mr Patel said.

“Bring your family to Syria Park for the week-long carnival and enjoy. There will be a lot of rides to choose from, stalls and we will have queen contestants who will be sponsored by business houses.

“The major sponsor is Vodafone and we thank them for their continuous support. This is always the biggest Carnival for the Nasinu-Nausori corridor.”

Vodafone Chief Marketing Officer, Rajnesh Prasad said Vodafone would continue to support initiatives that generate positive effects throughout the towns.

“Vodafone Fiji has always kept our community events at heart and in our 28 years of operations has successfully delivered grand events for the people of Fiji,” Mr Prasad said.

“Over the years, the carnivals have been an excellent platform for advocacy on critical issues and for young individuals to broaden their creative and interpersonal skills.”
