LICI Celebrates Anniversary By Giving Back To Community

Giving back to the community is what Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) are doing to mark the company’s 66th anniversary.
To start this off, the company’s staff, insurance agents and its customers donated blood yesterday.
They donated a total of 16 units of blood and more people were expected to increase the figure.
LICI regional manager west, Mahendra Bhadu said the company was currently in its 66th anniversary celebration phase where it also marked insurance week and service week towards its customers.
Mr Bhadu said this week it was their responsibility to give back to society and help others.
“This is important to the society because it gives a message that yes, we can donate blood and save lives as being our motto to ensure lives and ensure smiles,” he said.
“All these are social initiatives, which we are going to take upon in Lautoka and similarly, we are going to take similar steps in Suva, so in today’s (yesterday’s) drive our agents, our customers and our staff have participated.
“Currently we have planned a few events which will also include food donations to the homes and orphanages and even to a foundation that is looking after stray dogs.”
LICI has branches located in Lautoka, Suva and Labasa while also having nine service points.
