Awadai Veeriah Gnanarajah left his home country, Sri Lanka, 22 years ago to work in Fiji.

It was an opportunity of a lifetime for him because today, he calls Fiji home.

 

He is the owner and managing director of Tau Sports providing employment to more than 200 Fijians.

He also ventured into restaurant busi­nesses and had opened four in Suva. He has plans to expand his business to Si­gatoka.

 

How many places have you visited around Fiji?

Vanua Levu and all over Viti Levu.

What is the one place in Fiji you would take visitors to?

Denarau Island to visit all its resorts as it has everything you’ve dreamed of. Visitors will enjoy the palm trees and sandy beaches, world- class resorts, res­taurants and entertainment.

 

What is your favourite place for coffee/ pie?

My coffee shop at Sri Lanka Express at MHCC.

What do you do in your free time?

I love to go out to the communities to assist grass root sports and watch some local rugby games.

 

What is one place in Fiji that remains on your bucket list?

Savusavu.
