No Worries: Gollings

No worries! Without Sireli Maqala, we’ve got it covered.
These are the reassuring words of Fiji Airways Fijian men’s 7s head coach, Ben Gollings.
Speaking to SUNsports from Cape Town, South Africa, yesterday, Gollings said he had capable players who could do the job.
The former England 7s captain said the onus was on veteran Sevuloni Mocenacagi, and Kaminieli Rasaku to show what they’ve got, if they were put as rover.

Fiji Airways Fijian 7s captain Waisea Nacuqu in Cape Town, South Africa.
“It’s disappointing that we don’t have Maqala in Cape Town with us,” Gollings said.
“The team is rich with talent and most of them are utility players.
“Mocenacagi can play both wing and forward, which is exciting. We also have Nacuqu, who is our playmaker and cover for rover as well. Our starting line will be selected around what team we are playing against.”
During the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, winger Filipe Sauturaga played at halfback when Jerry Tuwai was injured.
Gollings also indicated that Tuwai’s form had improved since the Los Angeles Sevens and the players always responded to him.
“Jerry manages the game around the field,” he said.
“He’s very excited to be playing for Fiji at the World Cup, he’ll be ready and fit to play. We have the likes of Josua Vakurinabili, Mocenacagi, Nacuqu who will lead this group of young players. Their experience adds a lot of value in the team and a boost for the young players in the squad.”
