All Queen Victoria Teams March Into Nationals
All the Queen Victoria School rugby teams have qualified for the Vodafone Deans national quarterfinals at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva on September 24.
QVS qualifies in all six grades for the Eastern Zone Vodafone Deans finals on Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park.
The Nukuvuto young men’s Under 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 sides have sailed in after Eastern secondary schools completed their round of games according to zone secretary Alivereti Tawake.
QVS and neighbours Ratu Kadavulevu School face off in five of the grades: U14, 15, 16, 17 and U18, in the zone final.
“All teams playing in this week’s zone finals have qualified for the Deans quarterfinals,” Tawake said.
“The third placed team in the under -15, 17 and 19 will play against North Zone One in national playoff,” he added.
Meanwhile in the Southern Zone finals; Naitasiri Secondary School takes on Nasinu Secondary School in the U19 grade, U17: Suva Grammar School will battle against Marist Brothers High School, U15 sees MBHS and NSS.
Meanwhile the semifinals and finals will be held at Prince Charles Park, Nadi and Churchill Park, Lautoka on October 1 and 8 respectively.
