Extra Supermarket is proud to come on board as a Sponsor for this year’s Fiji Performing Rights Association (FPRA) Music Awards. A total of $5,000 sponsorship was given towards sponsoring The Artist of the Year award.

The cheque presentation was held at the FPRA office yesterday.

Extra Supermarket representative, Nitesh Prasad said they acknowledged the hard work of local artists, who had managed to overcome the challenges during and post COVID-19.

“It’s encouraging to see more local music being played on the radio, YouTube and other online music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. I think we have some very talented and resilient musicians in the country,” he said.

Mr Prasad said this was the first year of partnership between Extra and FPRA.

“Extra Supermarket hopes to continue this partnership in the future with the hopes of elevating local artists and aspiring artists to national, regional and even an international stage,” he added.

“Again, thank you to the FPRA, and we look forward to seeing you at the FPRA Music Awards.”

About Extra Supermarket opened its doors for the first time in 2017. They have now grown to 3 branches in Tappoo City Lautoka, Flagstaff Plaza, Suva and Challenge Plaza, Laucala Beach Estate.
