$250 Kick Started Makas Pastries

If the heart is willing, you will achieve it, says Veniana Nacolarara.
She is the owner of Makas Pastries who started her pastry business with only $250 last year.
“I never regretted starting my business during the challenging times when there was no job and baking materials were very expensive,” she said.
Ms Nacolarara operates her business from her home in Kaloko Levu Village with the help of her four daughters.
She is an administrative officer at the University of the South Pacific and also pursuing her degree in Business and Administrations at the institute.
The 44-year-old said her daughters motivated her to start her business and it has been striving because of them.
“I am the only sole breadwinner of the family and I thank my daughters for their help,” she said.
“Sometimes it can be tiring trying to meet all demands but I try my best to satisfy my customers, thanks to my family for their support,” Ms Nacolarara said.
“For anyone who is having doubts about what to pursue and what to do, take the risk and do it with all your heart because it is you and your family who will benefit from it.”
