Prime Minister Voreqe Baini­marama on Friday joined the flow of tributes from leaders of the Commonwealth and the world who paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II following the news of her passing.

She died on Thursday at Bal­moral Castle in Scotland.

In a statement Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said: “Fi­jian hearts are heavy this morn­ing as we bid farewell to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We will always treasure the joy of her visits to Fiji along with eve­ry moment that her grace, cour­age, and wisdom were a comfort and inspiration to our people, even a world away.”
