The Fiji Airways Fijian men’s 7s team will play Samoa in the Cup quarterfinals of the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Fijians came from behind to wallop Wales 29-5 this morning.
“This is the World Cup and all teams have come out firing,” veteran halfback Jerry Tuwai said.
“We were fortunate to win and will take things from there.”
Fiji ran in tries to Kaminieli Rasaku, Joseva Talacolo and Vuiviawa Naduvalo with one conversation going over for a 17-5 lead at halftime.
A runaway second half try to Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Elia Canakaivata dashed Wales hopes of an upset win.
