Ba Pro Wins Western Deans
The Ba Provincial FreeBird Institute was crowned the Western Vodafone Secondary School Deans Under-18 champion after defeating Natabua High School 16 – 13 in extra time at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi on Saturday.
Ba Provincial Freebird Institute teacher Margaret Pauline said it was a strong match.
“We respect the other team, I believe that played really well. It was a good challenge.”
“Our boys managed to score as we expected Natabua High to come out strong after their 37-7 win in the first round.”
“We have crucial discipline issues but the boys displayed a very good game. We’re going to work on the weaknesses that we saw today and do better next.”
Ba Pro and Natabua High School will carry the western flags at the national Deans quarter-final next weekend.
