Nasau: We Respect Nasinu U18

The Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute Under-18 rugby side has opted to keep a low profile ahead of their Saturday’s Vodafone Deans Trophy national quarterfinal clash against Nasinu Secondary School at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
“We will do our talking on the field,” said Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute principal Waliki Nasau after their training run in Lautoka yesterday.
The two-time Fiji Secondary Schools rugby league champions have produced top national rugby wingers like France-based Eroni Sau and Aminiasi Tuimaba.
They are this year’s Western Zone champions after they beat Natabua High School 16-13 in the final at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park.
Nasau said it was a historic moment for the players as they make their debut in the U18 boys’ competition where the Deans Trophy is at stake.
“We respect our opponents, Nasinu Secondary School,” he said.
Nasinu Secondary School over the years has produced top rugby players like Lemeki Koroi, Setareki Tawake, Sefanaia Naivalu, Virimi Vakatawa, Marika Koroibete, Philipo Bukayaro and Kaminieli Rasaku.
The Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute Under-18 team is coached by Timoci Duve and captained by Year-13 student, Saimoni Qaranivalu.
Their match kicks off at 10am.
