Why We Are Here? Rouet Tells

The Canadian women’s national rugby side is expecting a physical encounter against the Rooster Chicken Fijiana XVs in tomorrow’s Test clash at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
This was view of head coach Kevin Rouet after their training session in Nadi. He said that is the reason why they are here as it would boost their Rugby World Cup preparations.
The World Cup is from October 8 to November 12 in New Zealand.
“It’s important because we really enjoy playing games against Fiji,” he said.
“They are going to be a very tough opposition and with their sevens background they are going to be a strong team. We know that playing against a physical side is going to be very tough for us.
“That’s exactly what we need because sometimes, the Canadians become too nicer people. So this kind of opposition is perfect for us just to be prepared for the World Cup.”
The Kevin Rouet coached- side are ranked third in the world while the Fijians are ranked No.21.
Rouet said that he assembled a great team with players playing in top club rugby in England, France and New Zealand.
“Some of them (players) play in Canada so it is big that we get the chance to be together, just a big win for us will do,” he said.
“This is exactly what we need. We’re just happy to be in Fiji.”
In their last two Test matches, Canada thumped Wales 31-3 and beat Italy 32-24.
