Saneem Queries Statement Made By People’s Alliance Deputy Leader Kamikamica

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem has further queried the statement made by People’s Alliance Deputy Leader Manoa Kamikamica who said Rock the Vote was not a project of the People’s Alliance.
In a press conference yesterday Mr Saneem revealed screenshots of posts that were alleged to have been deleted from the Facebook page of Rock the Vote Fiji.
These posts had mentioned the involvement of some People’s Alliance provisional candidates in activities organised by Rock the Vote Fiji.
“As I had said to you on the press release on Friday, Rock the Vote Fiji had taken down its Facebook page and a considerable number of posts from Rock the Vote Fiji now been deleted,” Mr Saneem claimed.
“So it’s not doing any civic duty. It’s actually hiding evidence. We have all the Facebook posts in terms of screenshots.
So here’s some examples of Rock the Vote Fiji deleted post, one post said: Thank you Liliana Warid and Mr Dan Lobendahn for supporting our rock the vote tournament today. These posts have been removed.
He said another post was: “Off to a great start today at our volleyball tournament in Makoi. Vinaka vakalevu to all those who assisted in putting this day together. We are so happy with the turnout from the youth and also very grateful to the two deputy party leaders of the People’s Alliance. Miss Lynda Tabuya and Mr Dan Lobendahn and for contributing to today’s prizes.”
However, Mr Kamikamica had said people behind the campaign were doing a civic duty to encourage citizens to register and vote in the upcoming elections.
“They are supporting the work of the Fijian Elections Office,” Mr Kamikamica said.
