Tourism Creating An Economic And Social Value: Hill

Fiji is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the world. It offers mesmerising islands, natural beauty, tropical charm, delicious seafood and much more.
There are many tourist attractions in Fiji.
Cultural and Sporting activities both for water and land form integral aspects of what Fiji offers to its tourists including wellness therapies using nature and traditional soothing methods.
Today is World Tourism Day.
This occasion doesn’t only attract tourists into beautiful places, but it also helps in contributing to any country’s economy.
Tourism Fiji chief executive officer, Brent Hill said this day was important in Fiji as it created sustainable tourism businesses and employing Fijians.
“Tourism plays a key role in creating an economic and social value,” he said.
Mr Hill also said: “Tourism is competitive. There are nations, states and cities worldwide who recognise the value of tourism and invest heavily.”

“In Fiji, it is the same – we invest wisely and astutely in key markets to grow the visitor economy,” he said.
“With virtually no ongoing restrictions now Fiji can compete with markets who have the same open entry and exit. Tourists today want travel to be simple and safe.”
He said Fijian Goverment played a huge role for their consistently practical and quick responses to ease travel and respond.
“Fiji Airways as another major player in the industry contribute enormously in this regard too, making sure the airport processes are efficient,” he added.
