Nabou To NFP Candidates: Do Not Speak To Fiji Sun And FBC
National Federation Party general secretary Seni Nabou and former NFP candidate Hiroshi Taniguchi.

National Federation Party (NFP) general secretary Seni Nabou had emailed its provisional candidates not to speak to the media in particular Fiji Sun and Fijian Broadcasting Corporation (FBC).

This is in regards to the claims made by former NFP candidate Hiroshi Taniguchi on the party leader and his wife.

When we asked why and if the party has anything to hide she replied: “The Fiji Sun asks if “NFP has anything to hide” and claims that it “dictates to its members what to say”.

It cannot even ask a question honestly and objectively. That is exactly why we treat you as a propaganda arm of the FijiFirst Party, and why we have nothing to say to you.

In the email she sent to the provisional candidates, it stated: “ Dear prospective & reserve candidates. If any media especially FBC and

Fiji Sun contacts you asking for a comment on Mr Hiroshi (whose prospective candidacy has been revoked by the party) please do not respond and let us know if they do contact you.

Please under NO CIRCUMSTANCE is any candidate to give views to the media. It is likely they will be especially seeking views from female candidates.

Thank you all for your continuous patience! This will be over in a few days.
