Bronze Medal Win For Bula Boys, IDC Next On List

The Digicel national football men’s team won the bronze medal at the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Prime Minister’s Cup at Korman Stadium in Vanuatu on Friday night.
Striker Chris Wasasala scored Fiji’s lone goal in their 1-0 win.
The tournament was won by Papua New Guinea who beat Vanuatu Development side 4-1 in the final.
The national team arrives in time for the Courts Interdistrict Championship at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva, which starts next Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the IDC torch relay will start next Monday, October 3, at Sigatoka at 10.30 am.
The Nadroga players will march with the torch from the Courts Store in Sigatoka before passing it to the Nadi players around midday at the Nadi Temple before the torch is taken to the Courts Store, Nadi.
At around 1.30 pm Lautoka players will march with the torch from the Post Office to the Courts Shop in Lautoka.
Then the torch will be relayed to Ba players who will march from the roundabout to the Courts Store in Ba, where it will spend a night.
On Tuesday, October 4, at 10am, Tavua players will march with the torch from Tavua College to the Courts Store in Tavua.
From Tavua the torch will be handed to Rakiraki players around 11.30am who will march to the Courts Store in Vaileka, Rakiraki.
The torch will reach Korovou at 1.30pm and the Northland Tailevu players will march it from the bridge.
At 2.30pm the Rewa players will march it to the Courts Store in Nausori Town and at 3.15pm Tailevu/Naitasiri players will carry the torch to the Nakasi Store.
At 4pm, Nasinu players will carry the torch to the Samabula Store.
The torch will be handed to Suva players at the Flea Market and they will march to the Courts Store at Rodwell Road.
On Wednesday, October 5, at 9am, Navua players will march from the market to Courts Store in Navua.
At 10am Lami players will march with Courts IDC torch in Lami and then Labasa players will enter the HFC Bank Stadium with the torch at 6pm for the opening ceremony.
