There’s a new boxing gym in Nadi. The Kings Boxing Gym is owned by businessman Anwar ‘King’ Hussain and it is located at Drift Road, on Fantasy Island.

There’s a new boxing gym in Nadi.

The Kings Boxing Gym is owned by businessman Anwar ‘King’ Hussain and it is located at Drift Road, on Fantasy Island.

The gym is managed by club founder/manager Francis Shane, who is a registered boxing trainer.

“This was a long overdue project of both business partners, which turned into a milestone achieve­ment now,” said Shane who trained Ronald Naidu to knockout Nathan Singh.

He said a lot of thoughts were done in building the premises so was the importation of a proper boxing ring and equipment from overseas.

“Our main aim is to develop and grow boxing to another level in Fiji.

“The inclusionof proper boxing equipment this will definitely mo­tivate upcoming boxers.

“This is the place where every­thing begins and the developing of a boxer to be a champion.”

Shane indicated that they have met with professional boxing train­ers from New Zealand and Austral­ia who are willing to come over and conduct boxing classes at the gym.

“This is to uplift our knowledge and standards of proper training guidelines.

“Due to numerous calls about the opening of the boxing gym we de­cided to do a soft opening,” he said.

“We also have a men’s and wom­en’s fitness gym in the premises with all water sports free to use if you are a monthly member?

Meanwhile, the membership fee is $50 per month and the casual rate is $10 per day.
