The Vodafone Super Deans Trophy grand final at Churchill Park, Lautoka, next Saturday, will be between the two Southern Zone giants- Marist Brothers High School and Suva Grammar School.

Marist Brothers booked their spot in the grand final after a close 17-13 win over Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute at Prince Charles Park, Nadi, this afternoon.

The saviour of the Marist side was first five eight Ben Naivalu who held-up a Ba Provincial player on the tryline in the dying stage of the game.

Naivalu was injured and had to leave the field and was replaced by Veremo Waqanidrola.

Marist Brothers took an early lead from a rolling maul that resulted in Iowane Qalovi scoring the first try, which was converted by Brandon Soun for a 7-0 lead.

Ba Provincial came back with penalty before kicked over a penalty for a 10-3 lead. Ba Provincial levelled the scores with an unconverted try 10-10. Then Ba Provincial hits the lead, 13-10 from a penalty.

This was short-lived when Marist Brothers halfback Manueli 0Biunimasi scored their second try and Soun added the extras as they regained the lead 17-13 at halftime.
