In the second Under-14 semi-final Marist Brothers Hight School beat Queen Victoria School 11-8.
Speaking to SUNsports, MBHS team manager Tanya Tagici said they had sacrificed a lot in their preparations to get to the final.
It was a tense encounter as both teams were tied 8-8 before MBHS kicked over a penalty to win.
“The win really means a lot,” Tagici said.
“We came with an expectation and we’re really grateful with the result. We have done it. We have conquered the semi-final.
“That win is dedicated to our parents for their support and everything they have done and also to our old scholars.
“We are going to prepare well (for RKS) because we know next week will be a challenge.”
