Container Ship Makes Second Fiji Trip, Offloads 142 Cargo

Container ship Kota Henning has made its second trip to Fiji this year to offload cargo. The vessel had arrived at Port of Suva to offload 142 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU).
Fiji Ports Terminal Limited (FPTL) head of corporate services Salesh Kumar said the container ship had sailed from Port of Honiara, Solomon Islands before it arrived in Fiji.
Mr Kumar said the ship then sailed to Port of Lautoka to offload 89 TEUs of cargo containers.
“There is no major change in vessel calls compared to last month, however, variation in cargo/container volumes could be noted,” he said.
“We have continued to adequately serve all the vessels calling our ports and our focus has always been to provide efficient services.”
He adds Kota Henning will sail to Port of Majuro, Marshall Islands.
Kota Henning is expected to arrive at Port of Majuro on October 9. The vessel Kota Henning was built in 2003 and currently sailing under the f lag of Singapore.
Kota Henning has called at Port of Lae at Papua New Guinea, Port of Hong Kong and Port of Nansha in China.
