The Suva football side don’t want a repeat of the 2020 Courts lnterdistrict Championship CIDC) where they failed to reach the semifinal on their home ground.

“We’re going for a win,” said Suva Football Association president Ritesh Pratap.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, Pratap said they want a repeat of 2014, where they hosted and won the IDC.

Also, included in the squad is lanky defender Waisake Navunigasau who scored the winning goal for Suva when they won the 2012 IDC at Govind Park in Ba.

Pratap confirmed the appointment of veteran goalkeeper Akuila Mateisuva as Suva’s captain

“The morale is high in camp and we are ready to go,” he added. Meanwhile, defending champions Labasa has included Fijian Under-19 reps Jioji Vukica, Sairusi Tawake and Clarence Hussein into their squad. This was confirmed by head coach Ravneel Pratap.
