Seven Schools In Hockey Meet

Seven secondary schools are taking part in the 2022 Sportsworld Fiji Secondary Schools hockey tournament at the Nasau ground, Levuka this weekend.
Association president Immanuel Prasad said of the seven, one is from Nadi, three are from Lautoka, two from Levuka and one from Suva.
Lone Nadi Sangam Sadhu Kupswamy College is stamping its mark in upsetting some regulars in the three-day championship in the old capital city.
The Nadi is fielding a team in each division, girls’ and boys’ Under-16 and U19. The school took off to a good start on Wednesday by yesterday was in the top four in all divisions and grades.
In the U16 girls division SKM is leading with nine points, Levuka Public School with five points while Jasper Williams High School and St Johns College collect four points each.
In the U19 girls division Tilak High School is on top of the points table with 12 points followed by JWHS and LPS with eight points each and SKM with four points.
In the U16 boys division SJC lead with 12 points, SKM with six points, St Thomas with four points and LPS with two points.
In the U19 boys division LPS take the lead with 12 points, SKM with eight points while St Thomas and Tilak High School tie with five points each.
In the non-attendance of defending U16 boys champions Tilak High, SJC is well on their way after beating MBHS 2-0, St Thomas 3-1 and LPS 1-0.
