Wilisoni: We Will Always Smile Despite Losing

The Selesitino Mainakavika captained- Marist Brothers High School Under-14 rugby side took on the learnings of their 27-19 loss to Ratu Kadavulevu School in the final, this morning.
Team manager Tagici Wilisoni said she was proud of her players performance despite the result.
“My hat’s off to RKS for giving us a good game,” she said.
“I’m proud of my Under-14 babies. We have reached this far, the final and yes, we are gracious in defeat.”
Wilisoni said they did face a lot of difficulties but they managed it.
Nippy half back Isimeli Raravula was awarded the Best Player fof the U14 Final.
“I find it funny because the best player will always go to the winning team. In this case, I’m really proud of my boys, our technical officials and parents,” said Wilisoni.
“We have a lot of pride at Marist, especially in the Under-14, where we breed our own boys. We breed our own rugby players. Really good ones, especially at this stage. That is why we will always smile.”
Raravula dedicated his award to his parents.
He hails from Lovoni in Ono-i-Lau.
“To be given this award is a great achievement for me personally but it was a team effort,” Raravula said.
He said in a couple of years he wants to earn a rugby contract with an overseas just like his uncle, Rio Olympian and Montpellier flanker Masivesi Dakuwaqa.
