Datt In-Charge Of Natadola Golf Operations

Golf Fiji Secretary Avinesh Datt is the new Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course operations manager.
Datt took up his office last month (September).
“It is an honour to take up this post, hard work does get paid in due time,” Datt said.
An amateur golfer, Datt is a regular on the golf course whether there is a tournament or not.
Originally from Maro, Nadroga, Datt started off as NBCGC security manager in 2009.
He was promoted assistant operations manager in 2013. During the COVID-19 pandemic with a reduction in the number of staff Datt was master of all trade working overtime to maintain the golf course.
He became acting clubhouse manager in 2021.
“Natadola has taught me a lot of new things, I have gained a great wealth of knowledge and experience in operating and managing the clubhouse and course,” Datt said.
“I have developed good network, I learn a new thing every day here. I have had my knowledge and information upgraded that I carry out my work professionally.
“I am now able to work efficiently with all our patrons and stakeholders of the NBCGC.”
In his leisure time, Datt loves meeting people, watching rugby and football, doing social work, playing golf and traveling.

Meanwhile, Datt has confirmed that the Natadola Open Championship is scheduled on December 17.
