Style Fiji Renews Partnership With FBC To Assist Fiji Cancer Society

Project Bula Mai concept Style Fiji has renewed their partnership with Fijian Broadcasting Corporation (FBC), to assist the Fiji Cancer Society.

This was revealed during the Style Fiji official launch held at the Fiji Sofitel Resort and Spa on Wednesday.

Trustee/Executive Co-ordinator Marlene Vuniwaqa said there was an opportunity for their sponsors and supporters to discuss the overview of Style Fiji, theme – Styling Tomorrow 2022’s campaign and its cause to assist the Fiji Cancer Society.

It has been confirmed that Style Fiji 2022 will be held on November 19 at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa after a return after two years of the pandemic.

 

Ms Vuniwaqa said they are targeting $50,000 from the sale from the events including raffles, auction and fashion show.

“We have six local designers that are showcasing together with having a dinner auction to raise funds for the future for Cancer Society of Fiji. We are targeting $50,000 which will go towards the awareness,” she said.

“In November, we shall really focus more on prostate cancer for men and October is breast cancer, one of the biggest killers for women. This is a great way to actually create funds that’s raised from the show.”

 

We’ll be reaching out to the rural communities to reach out to more men to come forward to have this test available for them.

She added that there has been great support, not only for the organisers, but many in the community who had come on board.

“The support has been tremendous coming from the service providers, and even people purchasing tickets. It’s just that the support for cancer has been huge.”

Fiji Cancer Society West representative Milika Wata-Marshall thanked Style Fiji for coming on board this year to assist their ongoing projects such as awareness to name a few.
