The Rooster Chicken Fijiana will have to give their all and beat world’s ranked number two side France at Semenoff Stadium, Whangrei, at 6:15pm, says centre Talei Wilson.

This was after the Senirusi Seruvakula-coached side are in a position to reach the quarterfinal stage.

The other option for the Fijiana side is to grab a bonus point and keep the scores down so they could qualify as one of the two third best place teams from the three pools.

At the moment from Pool A, Wales is in third spot with four points and they take on Australia while in Pool B, USA who is in third position faces leaders Canada.

Both these matches are played on Sunday. It will be a waiting game for the Fijiana side before their fate in the tournament is decided.

This could be avoided if they score an upset win over France.

Wilson who was in the Fijiana’s starting line-up in their 21-17 win against South Africa combined well with Sesenieli Donu who was brilliant at second five-eighth.

“It was a great weekend for us, having that win,” Wilson said.

“Now we have to move on and focus on our French game so this is a must win, otherwise we are coming home. We never intend to come home this early so we just going to do it – play our hearts out for our fans and our family.”

According to the match statistics, Wilson attempted 11 tackles; nine were successful.

“It will definitely be very tough, obviously we’ll be looking to get a good score on the board. We just trying to prepare well and look after ourselves and our team.”

“It’s amazing – Rugby World Cup debut against South Africa on 13 jersey, I’m very grateful for the opportunity. Whatever happens, I’ll be raring to go, no matter what.”
