The Rooster Chicken Fijiana XVs campaign at the Women’s Rugby World Cup is over.
This was after they suffered a 44-0 loss to France, this evening.
The absence of a reliable kicker was the downfall of the Fijiana side as they trailed 20-0 at halftime.
Without first five eight, Merewalesi Rokouono, the Fijians suffered as kicks from Sesenieli Donu and Roela Radiniyavuni failed to find touch.
Halfback Lavena Cavuru replaced Ana Maria Roqica midway into the first half to try and fix the problem but it was not to be. The highlight of Fijiana’s play was their strong carries but they were outsmarted by a more experienced French outfit.
Radiniyavuni copped a red card after getting a second yellow card for infringements.
