2022 Beach Clean Up Hosted By The Koica Alumni Members.

Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Fiji Office in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Ministry of Environment and KOICA Alumni members will host a beach cleanup event focusing on the seawall area in Suva on October 22nd, 2022.
Members of other respective ministries and organizations like Run & Joy Fiji, The Korean Association of Fiji, Peace Corps Fiji and the UN Volunteers Pacific, will be a part of this great initiative, contributing to the upkeep of our environment.
Approximately 100 participants are expected to take part in this great initiative that the KOICA Alumni is hosting.
Great partners like the Ministry of Environment and Suva City Council will be greatly contributing to this environmental event.
KOICA is also committed to giving a hand in environment conservation and have projects in the pipeline that is directly related to this.
Although last year, the cleanup event only involved a few partners like KOICA Fiji club and Suva SUPers, where they focused on collecting garbage around the Nubukalou creek, this year our goal is to involve as many collaborations as possible as we all have the same goal in mind – Keep our Suva clean.
This year, our cleanup points will be the Nasese coastline area and some parts of the metropolitan.
We plan to divide the 100 participants into 4 groups and disperse into allocated cleanup areas from the meeting point which is the Albert Park Foyer.
We hope to collect as much rubbish as possible as these are areas the general public are highly likely to use every day.
KOICA Fiji Office and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea hope to continue to support amazing initiatives like the cleanup activities which we try to host each year, as we know that it greatly helps Fiji and strengthens the Fiji-Korea partnership to develop and sustain a better Fiji.
