Narube Expects Provisional Candidates Resignation

Unity Fiji has revealed that they are expecting the resignation of some provisional candidates soon.
Party leader Savenaca Narube made the comment after a meeting on Thursday “Always happens,” he said
“We have expressions of interest that will cover the resignations.
“Circumstances change because of health reasons, financial reasons and other things. That’s normal. We have to build that into our plans.”
There are currently 52 provincial candidates in the party.
However, Mr Narube said he does not expect candidates to resign on the basis of not agreeing with the party principles.
“When they entered the party, they knew very well the platform they were standing on,” he said.
The party is expected to release its manifesto next week.
Mr Narube said the party had completed its campaigning overseas and was focusing locally.
