Westpac Fiji Morning Tea A Success In Savusavu

Even though the month of October has passed, Westpac Fiji held Pinktober morning tea in Savusavu on Friday.
Westpac Fiji head of corporate affairs, marketing and sustainability Rowena Taito said they were grateful to the Savusavu community for supportingh this event and help create awareness and raise funds for cancer.
“Thank you to our partners Nawi Island, J. Hunter Pearl’s, Savusavu Makers and Growers and Planters Club,” Ms Taito said.
“We are having our first Savusavu Market Day this Saturday (today) so come down and support the local small micro business entrepreneurs.”
Meanwhile, Savusavu Town Council chief executive officer Seema Dutt is urging the people of the Hidden Paradise to take advantage of Westpac Fiji’s first ever market day in Savusavu.
Westpac Fiji has been hosting these markets since 2009 in Suva.
Now they are extending this opportunity to the micro and small business owners in the Northern Division.
Ms Dutt said she has been told that this event was part of the bank’s effort to support the government’s initiative.
“The event will be at Savusavu Tourism Park, between Copra Shed and the bus stand,” Ms Dutt said.
“The market day will be from 8am to 2pm.”
This market will provide participants a platform to be able to not only display their product, but also to give them an opportunity to connect to the market and other business owners.
