Woman, 24, Gives Up Dream, Starts Business

Eileen Rose Sankracharya gave up her dream of becoming a doctor after she found a new career path.
The former Swami Vivekanda College. student was ready to take up her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course when she was convinced by her mother to take a break (gap year) and turn her hobby into a career.
She loves taking pictures and today the award-winning entrepreneur owns a wedding photography business.
In 2019 at the height of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, Ms Sankracharya took the risk and started her business.
She started with a phone, her mom purchased a secondhand camera, from there she went on full scale and invested in brand new gear.
A pure science student, Ms Sankracharya saw that business was a different world of experience altogether.
She registered her business and called it Peachylini.
The 24-year-old of Yavusania Village, Nadi with maternal links to Kabara, Lau, is the eldest of nine siblings.
She encourages young people to pursue their dreams and vision.
“Make use of your God given talent,” she said.
Ms Sankracharya is also training to become a pastor in their church, Gates of Glorious Hope, She was awarded the aspiring entrepreneur of the year at the women in business awards last month.
