NFP Re-file List Of Party Candidates

The National Federation Party will refile its list of candidate nominations. This was confirmed by Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem, who did not elaborate why this was needed. Mr Saneem referred further questions on this to the Party.
When contacted yesterday, Party leader Biman Prasad said: “Get your facts right.”
He did not provide any other details as to why they would need to refile. It is however understood that the nominations which had been taken for filing by party general secretary Seni Nabou, youth wing Apenisa Vatuniveivuke and communications officer Kamal Iyer, were incomplete.
NFP announced its final batch of candidates on November 4 which included the founder of FRIEND and former chief executive officer, Sashi Kiran, and former FijiFirst member of Parliament, Balminder Singh.
Other prominent people included the former president of Fiji Law Society, Dorsami Naidu, and former Parliament staff, Iliesa Raiduduva, who was alleged to have made copies of the video between the Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama and the party president, Pio Tikoduadua.
