Unity Fiji party leader Savenaca Narube yesterday led the party’s nomination walk to the Fijian Elections Office (FEO), submitting 46 provisional candidates.

They were the last political party to make a submission yesterday; Other parties had submitted its provisional candidate nominations last week. Party nominations closed at 12 noon yesterday.

Mr Narube confirmed that the FEO found discrepancies in the eligibility requirements for six of the provisional candidates they submitted yesterday. He did not provide the names because he wished to talk to the unsuccessful provisional candidates first (See inside for full list of approved candidates).
