The Ministry for Women, Children and Poverty Al­leviation will soon set up a night shelter in Suva, a first for Fiji.

In the ministry’s budget it has managed to secure funding for the ground work.

One of which is opening a night shelter for those who sleep on the streets.

“In this year’s budget, we man­aged to get funding to assist those people living on our street,” said Minister Ms Rosy Akbar.
