4,377 Approved Postal Votes
The Supervisor of Election, Mohammed Saneem has confirmed that there are 4377 approved postal vote applications as of 4pm yesterday.
Mr Saneem said voters intending to vote through postal vote, are required to apply as soon as possible, as postal vote application closes tomorrow at 5pm. He reminded voters that it was of the essence that application is sent first in order to receive a postal voting packet.
On Sunday during his daily brief, Mr Saneem echoed his concern over the number of postal vote applications received locally.
They had expected 23,000 postal vote applications, but only 4303 had been received then.
