Seventy-six-year-old Viva Nemia finally got herself a walking cane to help her move around.

This was from the Spinal Injury Association Fiji that was at the Rights, Empowerment and Cohesion (REACH) programme road show in the Nakorotubu district.

“This walking cane came at the right time because I think it is time for me to have some sort of assistance,” the Namarai, Ra native said.

“What I’m more grateful for is that I did not have to pay a cent to get it. I didn’t even have to travel to Rakiraki or Suva to get it, it came right to my doorstep.”
