Youth Leader Returns To Give Back To School

Mohammed Shafil, founder of the Nakasi Youth Club understands his responsibility to give back to the school he was once part of. He did this with donations of award prizes for the school’s annual prize-giving ceremony.
Originally from Labasa, Mr Shafil is a leading by example in youth advocacy and organising many assistance drives across the country.
He attended Lautoka Muslim College from Year 9 to Year 13 and recently assisted them with prize takeaway trophies for high-performing students.
Mr Shafil described the assistance effort as a blessing moment for him as an ex-student to show support to the educational lighthouse he was once taught in.
“The school committee did not openly request this assistance, however, I saw the opportunity to help students get prizes and awards for their academic effort,” he said.
