Fiji Corrections Service officer Vaiti Waqatabu who will captain the Fijian Pearls at the Nations Cup in Singapore from December 4-10, is confident their team bonding on and off the court will get them the result they want.

“This is a team of young players with some still in high school and university. Team bonding is something that keeps us together,” Waqatabu said yesterday.

Thirteen (13) years after first representing the Pearls, Waqatabu takes over the role of captaincy from Alisi Naqiri who is not on the list for personal reasons.
