National Federation Party candidate Divina Loloma is caught in a gender storm.

The transgender politician claims she has been advised by the party not to talk to the media in the latest flareup between those who support her sexual orientation and others who condemn it for religious reasons.

NFP leader Biman Prasad declined to comment, saying he does not talk to the Fiji Sun.
